It is rightly said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started”. Yes, it is true: Participation is more important than winning. In today’s competitive world, everyone is eager to win the race. No one is ready to accept the second position in their life. It is good that we all have the will to win but winning isn’t everything. It is not necessary win everytime we participate. If we keep participating in different events then surely one day we will get the result of our
hardwork.

There are many competitions held in our school which gives me a chance to showcase my talents. Participating in competitions like Elocution, Essay Writing, Story Writing and Narration has increased my confidence and helped me to improve my skills.

So take every small chance as an opportunity and participate in every competition, whether we win or lose. This will help us to develop an all round personality.
